The Sanderson family have owned and operated the Glassford Inn for the last twenty years. Throughout this period , they have developed the Inn into a welcoming venue for local and visiting customers.
It is very much a hands on operation for the entire family, and you will always find one of them either in the restaurant or the bar.
The customers are a varied group in age and interest , but they all add their contributions to making the place what it is. There are experts on subjects from nuclear physics to mole catching and any other subject in between.
We have a darts night on Fridays , a quiz night on Thursdays and a card school on Monday nights , and dominoes and pool seven days a week. It is our idea of what pubs should be like, and we try to encourage friendliness and joviality between our customers.
There is also excellent bar food available , and we have found that this single factor has encouraged a good deal of satisfaction between couples since it gives folks a break from the cooker and the sink for a modest outlay.
